Natasha Porter (Female)
Natasha joined us back in 2015, as a junior practice nurse. Prior to this Natasha worked as a staff Nurse on a Rehabilitation ward. Since joining us Natasha has worked her way up and was promoted to Nurse Manager in 2016. Natasha manages the Nursing team and also runs general nurse clinics and can see patients for Travel consultations, Family Planning, Ear Irrigation, Dressings and much more.
Working directly with patients, NPs can diagnose and manage most common and many chronic illnesses. They are authorized to perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, provide counseling and education, and write prescriptions.
Sandra Copeman – (Female)
Sandra is one of our Nurse Practitioners. Sandra worked at Colchester and Clacton Hospitals for many years as a ward manager. Sandra is very knowledgable and has over 32 years of nursing experience. Sandra sees patients for minor illness, Chronic heart disease and contraception.
Clare Smith – (Female)
Clare is one of our nurse practitioners and joined us in 2017. Prior to this Clare worked as a community matron. Clare visits our patient who are unable to get in to the surgery for appointment. Clare also sees patients for minor illnesses. Clare works with local teams to to support palliative patients at the end of their life.
Lorraine Smith – (Female)
Lorraine is one of our Nurse Practitoners and she joined us in 2016. Lorraine has been qualified for 21 years. Lorraine runs COPD and Diabetes clinic’s. Lorraine also does some minor illness and helps out with open surgery.
Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.
Donna Gage – (Female)
Donna joined us back in 2013. As a practice nurse. Donna has been nursing for 35 Years and has a background of district nursing and tissue viability. Donna runs a general nurse clinic which she can do smears, travel consultations, family planning, ear irrigation, dressings. Donna also runs an asthma clinic once a week.
Samantha Forrest – (Female)
Sam joined us earlier this year. Sam has previously worked as a Practice Nurse and is trained in Asthma, Travel consultations, Family Planning, Ear Irrigation, Dressings. Sam has a background in District Nursing.
Healthcare Assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
Kylie Izzard – (Female) Lead Healthcare Assistant
Kylie is the newest member of our team, she joined us back in 2018 after many years working at the local hospital. She has extensive experience as a Healthcare Assistant. Kylie has expressed an interest in doing her Nurse Training and will start this in September 2021.
Laura Bull – (Female)
Laura has worked at Ranworth for 12 years, she is a valued member of the Nursing Team. Laura’s role includes Phlebotomist, Suture / Staple removal, Ear Irrigation, Smoking Cessation and much more. Laura has expressed an interest to do her Nurse Training which she started in January 2020.
Danielle Bunce – (Female)
Danielle joined Ranworth back in 2013 as a receptionist. Danielle wanted a new challenge and was very keen and eager to learn. Danielle was offered the post of trainee Healthcare Assistant in 2017. Since this she has excelled in this role. Danielle’s role includes Phlebotomist, Suture / Staple removal, Ear Irrigation, Smoking Cessation and much more.
